Last night at the age of 47 the leading soloist of the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Music Theatre Sergey Balashov passed away. He was an outstanding tenor, a great artist and a wonderful, kind man with a passionate heart!
For almost 20 years Sergey was a soloist of the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Music Theatre and played there dozens of bright roles. He took part in most opera performances of the theatre: sang Lensky in “Eugene Onegin”, Alfredo in “La Traviata”, Ferrando in “Cosi fan tutte “, Nemorino in “Elixir of Love”, Werther in the eponymous opera, Arturo in “Lucia di Lammermoor”, Hoffman in “Les contes d’Hoffmann “, Ottavio in “Вon Giovanni” and many others.
