On November 23, 2021 a war veteran, legend of the Ural vocal school, People’s Artist of the RSFSR, professor of the Ural State Conservatory Nikolay Nikolaevich Golyshev passed away at the age of 91.
He was a man of great talent, a unique teacher who had learned an incredible number of now well-known, adored by the public artists, soloists of leading Russian and foreign theaters during his long creative and teaching career, head of the Department of solo singing at the Ural State Conservatory, where Dmitry Ulyanov studied too, and Nikolai Nikolaevich was the one who first saw in Dmitry the future star of the world opera scene and influenced his initial formation and development as an artist and singer.
In the repertoire of the unforgettable lyrical baritone Nikolai Nikolaevich there were more than fifty roles, and the pinnacle of his creativity was undoubtedly the part of Eugene Onegin, sung by the master 276 times.
Dmitry Ulyanov, his colleagues and friends, as well as the site administration bring their most sincere condolences to all the relatives and friends of Nikolay Golishev.
