Gala concert “Tchaikovsky. Opera passion”
Moscow, RUSSIA
Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Music Theatre

This concert is dedicated to the 180th anniversary of the composer.

Our concert isn’t just an “event by date.” We consciously tried to saturate the programme with fragments, scenes, arias and ensembles of works that are not in the repertoire of Moscow’s theatres.

We wanted to see not the usual and familiar by heart to soloists and listeners Tchaikovsky, but the composer who ends up in San Remo with “Eugene Onegin” and starts “The Queen of Spades” in Florence. The one who goes to America to open Carnegie Hall. We want to show you not just a portrait on the wall in the Great Hall of the Conservatory, not an anniversary profile on a Soviet coin and postage stamp, but not quite habitual, but fantastically sincere and absolutely brilliant person…

Felix Korobov.
